This Privacy Policy explains how Sikorbit ("Sikorbit," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit sikorbit.com, use our mobile or web applications, or use our connected products such as drones and robots (together, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If an individual app or product has its own privacy notice, that notice will supplement this policy.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details — such as your name and email address when you contact us, request support, or sign up for updates.
- Account information — such as your username, email, and preferences when you create an account in one of our apps.
- Support communications — the content of messages you send to support@sikorbit.com or through our apps.
- Purchase information — order details when you buy a product. Payment card details are processed by our payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — such as device type, operating system, app version, browser type, pages viewed, and crash reports.
- Log data — such as IP address, access times, and referring URLs.
- Approximate location — derived from IP address. We collect precise location only if you grant permission (for example, to show your drone or robot on a map and plan missions).
Information from connected products
- Device telemetry — such as GPS position, altitude, speed, battery level, sensor readings, firmware version, flight and mission logs, and error codes, when you pair a Sikorbit drone or robot with our app.
- Camera and sensor data — photos, video, and maps captured by your device. This content is stored on your device or in your account and is used only to provide the features you use. We do not use your footage to train AI models without your clear consent.
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Services.
- Show live telemetry and video, run missions, send alerts, and deliver firmware or app updates.
- Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account or orders.
- Improve product performance, reliability, and safety, and develop new features.
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security issues, and technical problems.
- Send marketing messages where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we share information
We share information only as described below:
- Service providers — trusted vendors who help us with hosting, analytics, payments, customer support, and email delivery, under contracts that limit their use of your data.
- App stores and platforms — such as Apple and Google, as needed to distribute our apps and process in-app purchases, subject to their own privacy policies.
- Legal requirements — when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sikorbit, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.
- With your consent — for any other purpose you approve.
5. Cookies & analytics
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, understand how the site is used, and improve performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features.
6. Connected devices
Sikorbit drones and robots are in development and not yet available. This section describes how we will handle device data once they launch. When you connect a Sikorbit drone or robot to our app, the device may transmit operating data, video, and logs over Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or radio link. This data is used to show you your device's status, run missions, investigate incidents and support requests, and improve product safety. Flight logs may be shared with authorities only where required by law. You can disconnect a device from the app at any time.
7. Our mobile apps
Device permissions
Our apps ask for permission before accessing device features, and only use them for the purpose shown in the permission prompt. Jabberdoll does not use Bluetooth, location or the camera; the list below covers features our future apps may use:
- Bluetooth and local network — to find, connect to, and control Sikorbit drones and robots.
- Location — to show your position and your device's position on a map, plan missions, and apply geofencing and airspace safety rules. Location is not used for advertising.
- Camera and photo library — to scan product QR codes during setup and to save photos and video captured by your device.
- Notifications — to send alerts you have chosen to receive.
You can change these permissions at any time in your device settings.
Tracking and advertising
We do not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies, and we do not sell your data or share it with data brokers. If an app ever needs to do this, it will first ask for your permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt, and you can decline.
Sign-in and payments
- If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive only the name and email (or private relay email) you choose to share.
- In-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We receive confirmation of your purchase and subscription status, but never your payment card details.
Third-party services
Our apps may use trusted third-party services for hosting, crash reporting, analytics, and payments. These providers process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit how they can use it. The data each app collects is also summarized in its App Store privacy label.
8. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including encryption in transit and access controls — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights & choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information, including your account.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Request a portable copy of your data.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Opt out of marketing communications.
To exercise any of these rights, email support@sikorbit.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Account deletion: you can delete your app account in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account, or request deletion at any time by emailing support@sikorbit.com with the subject "Account deletion request." See Delete your account & data for details.
11. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
12. International transfers
We may process and store information in countries other than your own. When we transfer personal information internationally, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place as required by applicable law.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Services or by email.
